Newton McKENZIE Obituary
On Saturday, November 28, 2015, Newton Milton McKenzie slipped peacefully into eternity to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at the age of 97. Newton was predeceased by his beloved wife Marion. Cherished father of Colin (Mary) and Heather and the late Scott. Proud grandfather of Andrea, Alex (Amanda), and Laura (David Allison), and great-grandfather of Matthew, Ryan, Chloe, Owen and Sarah. He was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Martha McKenzie. Special thanks to Granite Ridge Long Term Care Cottage staff who cared for Newton so well. Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Richmond Road), on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. A Celebration of Newton's life will take place at Fellowship Baptist Church, 1078 Klondike Rd, Kanata on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Christians Horizons Foundation (Units 2 & 3, 1950 Merivale Road, Ottawa, Ontario K2G 5T5) would be appreciated by the family.

Our deepest sympathies for the loss of your Dad. Our Dad Keith spend many hours talking to Mr McKenzie and learned lots from him. We have great memories of your family when you lived in the farmhouse at Ashton.

My deepest condolences to Heather and Colin and to your respective Families. I am a volunteer at Granite Ridge and got to know your Dad quite well over the past few years.He spoke alot about his younger years,his Family and the Lord. It was a privilage to have known him and it is comforting to know that he will live on and be with the Lord. God Bless you all. Ed
