Nicholas Phillip Kerrigan Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 22, 2024.
Nick grew up in the Evergreen foothills in San Jose, CA and attended Evergreen High School. In his younger years, he was a happy, spirited, playful, and very energetic boy who was easy going and was always willing to make others happy. He loved camping and water sports, spending many summer weekends with family and childhood friends at campgrounds and lakes. He loved roller and ice hockey and was respected by peers for his awesome skateboarding skills. He was a simple, caring person who loved being outdoors, his favorite job being outdoor sales where he flourished and was respected as a leader and hard worker. He loved walking the different neighborhoods, meeting and talking to new people. He was honest, witty, sometimes a jokester, and yes, sometimes quick to lose his temper, but was a very proud person. He valued his freedom and individuality and held to his convictions the things he was very passionate about, especially when it came to animals. He loved all animals and was quick to come to their rescue if any was in danger. His passion and joy for music became a very significant part of his life, playing the bass guitar and drums. He enjoyed creating beats, and composing original songs with his friends, leaving a legacy of creativity and collaboration. Nick was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Nick is survived by dad Steve Kerrigan (Lisa Guiterrez), mom Cindy Kerrigan, grandmother, Alice Kerrigan, sister Tracy and Calvin Nakagawa (Calvin, Owen, Keilana), sister Breanna Kerrigan (Lawrence Cordero, daugher Mahina) and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends. Nick is preceded in death by grandparents, Richard and Beatrice Fernandez and grandfathers Stanley Kerrigan and Martin Alcisto.

Nick's Celebration of Life was held at Vasona Park in Los Gatos, CA on September 29, 2024. His final resting place will be at Oak Hill Memorial Park in San Jose, CA.
