Nicholas VARGA Obituary

VARGA, Nicholas . Nick passed away peacefully on January 8, 2014. He was born in Hungary, February 20, 1936, immigrating to Canada in 1957. He moved to Northern Vancouver Island with his wife Magdelena and raised a family. Nick is survived by his Family, Maggi, his wife of 54 years, son Peter, daughter Eva and spouses Theresa and Sean, grandchildren Mathias and Sam. He was proud of his Canadian identity, his Hungarian background and his west coast roots. He had a lifetime love of the outdoors and the community he lived in. He taught us all to embrace the freedom we enjoy and to respect the beauty of our surroundings. He was a very organized man and appreciated by all those close to him for his sense of honour and sharp wit. Nick will forever be loved by his family and missed in many hearts. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Canadain Red Cross in remembrance of his would be greatly appreciated. Sands ~ Nanaimo
