NICK MOFFO Obituary
NICK JR., on May 9, 2015. Son of the late Nicholas and Regina Cinti Moffo, of Berwyn. Devoted cousin of Adrian Piccone, Vivian Jung, Mariam Mack-Piccone, Barbara Palmerio and Denise Talva-Hutton. Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Friday, in St. Isaac Jogues Church, (West Walker Rd. at Valley Forge Rd., Wayne), 9 to 9:45 A.M., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. Int. SS. Peter and Paul Cem.

Nick was my first serious drum teacher,when I became committed to the drumset,and music,at 15 yrs. old in 1970.He was an excellent teacher-being a successful working professional-and someone with an intrinsic understanding of the learning process,besides being a master drumset artist.Besides opening me up to the vast world of music,particularly jazz and creative music,he taught me (without me always being aware of it) how to learn, analyze,and think-skills necessary for life in general,not just music.Much of what he taught me took years to actualize,but I recognized the process as it unfolded.I studied with him until 1979,when we parted ways-a natural process.He was an indispensable part of my musical development,and the knowledge he imparted is an integral part of my musical ability.I will always be grateful for the contribution he made to my life.
