I was greatly saddened and shocked to hear of my Uncle's passing. I will cherish the childhood memories of him and am glad that I had an opportunity to chat with him a few years ago at his sister Anne's birthday party. I was surprised to learn that his other career choice would have been to farm! I'm glad he chose to teach as his lessons will live on in the lives of all those he taught and mentored. A great man was very loved, respected and will be missed. Much love is sent to you Auntie, Rhonda and Karen at this time and my you find comfort in your memories. Love from Debbie, Rod and our girls.

Dear Mrs. Skladan, Rhonda & Karen...
So sorry to hear about Mr. Skladan. Not only was I privileged to have been one of his many students but his next door neighbour as well. I recall many sleepovers with Karen at the Skladan residence. Every year Nick & Dorothy seemed to have a friendly "competition" over the size of their tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. He was a kind and gentle man who will never be forgotten. May the many memories provide comfort in the days ahead. Thinking of you all....xox

Dear Mrs. Skladan, Rhonda & Karen...
So sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Skladan. Not only was I privileged to have been one of his many students, I was also his next door neighbour. I remember he & my Mom comparing the size of the tomatoes, cucumbers, etc over the fence for many years. He was a kind, gentle man who will never be forgotten. May the many memories provide comfort in the days ahead. Thinking of you all....xox

Rhonda and Family.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. Your dad was kind, generous, an educator and a good family friend. I have many good memories of all the time spent with you and your family. Sleepovers, driving to piano lessons, practicing piano duets, vacations, and many sleepovers. I was always welcomed by your family. May all of your wonderful memories of your dad give you strength at this time. Take care.

Genie and family: Thinking of you and remembering your short but influential time at OLA in Fort Saskatchewan. You ad Nick were always so welcoming and accommodating. My best memories of Nick were at yearly Admin conferences when he invited me to join the County of Lamont attendees who I remember thinking of as a family who worked together and felt somewhat envious.

Eugenia and family:
My sincerest condolences to you on the passing of Nick. I remember him from early teaching days when he was vice- principal at Lamont and I taught at Chipman. What always comes to my mind when I think of Nick was the home and away softball game that my grade 5/6 class played against a class of his. We biked to Lamont to play the game. Imagine a school class doing that today! Nick and I also had the opportunity to work together on the executive of the ATA Local. He was a dedicated teacher and had excellent advice for a rookie teacher. May God grant him eternal rest and you the strength to deal with his passing.
