Just thinking of Nicole today, as I do quite often. She was my first friend in New York when I joined her team at Barclays. Eight years later, she is still the best person I met in this city. She was truly extraordinary. I hope her family finds some comfort knowing that while her time was all too short, it was immeasurably impactful.

The Korczykowski's are my neighbors and it hurt knowing someone loved that my family knew and was close to died in such a horrible accident. Nicole was a great person and as I can remember, loved animals and loved to live life to the fullest. I miss you Nicole.

Wow. I just learned of Nicole's death today, just over 2 years after the fact. I was wondering why she hadn't contacted me in a long time and decided to try to find her.
I hired her as an intern at Mellon Ventures while she was in undergrad at Penn. She was an incredibly smart and gifted person. I have hired many Ivy League grads and other very talented people, but she was truly special even in that crowd. I often told people that she was the smartest person that I had ever met. And she was filled with the joy of life and energy like I have never seen. I knew she was destined for greatness, and I kept in touch with her occasionally through the years and was always proud of her successes.
This is such a tragic loss. My condolences to her family and other friends. I am deeply grateful that I got to know her during her brief time with us.

Maureen, Larry and Ryan,
Very often I think back to the times we all spent at Brant Lake together. I have incredibly fond memories of Nicole as a child, and what a beautiful woman you raised her to be. She touched all of us, and she will always live in our memories. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

During this time of year, I always consider what I am thankful for. I am deeply thankful for having known and worked with Nicole. It was for all too short of a time, but she had and continues to have a profound impact on me.

I worked and played with Nicole while she was attending Penn and living here. She loved life, dancing salsa, playing piano, speaking more languages than any one I know and much more. She was a truly happy person, approachable to people from all walks of life adding a spark to all of our lives.
It is a sad day for me, but I am glad I met her.
My condolences to all her friends and family

Dear Korczykowskis,
I spent the better part of three years trying to get Nicole to come work with me and my team (though unsuccessfully). We've never pursued a single candidate so persistently. She was a star. Brilliant, outgoing, interesting, and always a great pleasure to be with. I miss her bright light.

Dear Mrs K. and Family,
You all have my deepest sympathies during this tragic time, and I am certain those of my brother as well as you were our most beloved teacher in High School. You are a large part of my continuing success as a student and person, and though I did not know Nicole personally, from all you told about her in your classes I know she was a wonderful person. You have my thoughts during this awful time.

To Nicole's family,
Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of your daughter. I was shocked by the news when I first heard it and it was hard for me to digest it. I know Nicole from Barclays Capital. She is in my prayers and I hope you find the strength from reflecting on Nicole's accomplishments and how deeply and positively she touched everyone whenever she was around. She was extremely intelligent, smart, motivated and enthusiastic. She will always stay in my thoughts and heart.

A Reminiscence
YES, thou art gone! and never more
Thy sunny smile shall gladden me;
But I may pass the old church door,
And pace the floor that covers thee.
May stand upon the cold, damp stone,
And think that, frozen, lies below
The lightest heart that I have known,
The kindest I shall ever know.
Yet, though I cannot see thee more,
'Tis still a comfort to have seen;
And though thy transient life is o'er,
'Tis sweet to think that thou hast been;
To think a soul so near divine,
Within a form so angel fair,
United to a heart like thine,
Has gladdened once our humble sphere.

Dear Korczykowski Family,
I attended Nardin with Nicole. She was such a bright are fiery person. I remember her best for being intimidatingly intelligent and good at everything she tried to do. From what I've read about her life since she graduated high school, she had taken full advantage of her gifts in living an extraordinary life. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Korczykowski Family and Friends,
I only met Nicole once, during my interview for York Street, and she had already moved to Barclays before I started. Everyone here has always spoken fondly about Nicole's work ethic, and her spirit and soul. We exchanged a few laughs over emails, and I wish I had the chance to get to know her better. Her memories will live on and I am so sorry for your loss.

I knew Nicole through our friends the Osbornes in Kent, CT. She and John would visit periodically for weekend gatherings. We would be there too and spend time together hanging out, chatting about life and laughing about silly things. I always enjoyed spending time with Nicole and was so impressed by her gentle spirit and kindness, not to mention her smile and laugh. I can picture her smile so vividly. I will remember Nicole with such warmth and love. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Mrs. K and family,
My prayers, thoughts and feelings go out to you. Even though I never met Nicole, I will always remember how you would tell stories about your adventures with her in far away lands (Egypt being one of them), and what her latest achievement was. Although she may be gone from this world, her legacy (as well as her boyfriend's legacy) will remain forever in our hearts and mind. And remember, all of your AP English students are thinking of you and supporting you; although we may be many miles apart, our hearts are crying with yours.

Nicole and John were a wonderful couple, full of energy and love of life. I met them in Kent, CT at Annelise and Andrew Osborne's house in Summer 2004/5, they were newly in love and very happy. And that is how I will remember them. This sad news has reminded me how precious time is with family and friends, and to be grateful for every moment. So sorry for your family's great loss, and I hope you find comfort in your love for them and each other.

I was shocked and saddened to hear the terrible news. Nicole was such a wonderful, bright and intelligent girl. When I visited New York in 2004 with my friend Dave, Nicole and her then-boyfriend Matthew as well as their wide group of friends, gave us such a warm welcome. Although only stayed with them for a few days, we really got to know Nicole well and she did her best to ensure that we had the best time. She was so witty and full of enthusiasm and I will never forget her warmth and generosity.
I am thinking of her family at this terribly sad time and I hope that they draw stength from all of the kind and heartfelt comments on this guest book.
