Nicole Adelle McKendrick, 17, of Black Lick, PA died on Thursday, April 3, 2003 in Hempfield Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born March 10, 1986 in White Twp., PA, a daughter of Ronald E. and Sherry L. Glance McKendrick.

Nicole was in the junior class at Blairsville High School where she was a high honor roll student. She loved home economics.

She was employed by Long John Silvers, Blairsville, PA.

She is survived by her mother, Black Lick, PA and her fiancée, James Mathews; her father of Homer City and his fiancée, Lisa Bekina; two sisters, Jennifer M. McKendrick, Black Lick, PA, and her fiancée, Gregory Bish and Brandi R. Mathews, at home; two brothers, Ronald E. McKendrick, Jr. and Jeremy W. McKendrick, both of Homer City, PA; her fiancée, Joshua Hutcheson, Blairsville, PA; maternal grandparents, Ron and Charlotte Davis, Black Lick, PA and Robert and Pam Glance, Blairsville, PA; paternal grandparents, Leonard and Lucille McKendrick, Black Lick, PA and maternal great grandmother, Betty Sandolfini, Black Lick, PA. She will be sadly missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Services will be held on Monday at 1:30 P.M. in the First Baptist Church, 35 West Campbell St., Blairsville, Pa with Rev. Gerald D. Mershimer officiating.

Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Coral, PA.

My deepest sympathy to all who knew Nicole. I know how you feel. I lost my 17 yr.old best friend 33 yrs. ago April 5, when she and her date were hit by a drunk driver while they were walking home. I still miss!
