On behalf of Squamish Nation Chiefs and Council and Member Support Services it is with great sadness we announce the passing of Nicole Marie Nahanee. Nicole was born to her parents Irene Marie Anne (nee: Bruneau) and Lorne Whitten Nahanee Junior on June 5, 1975 in North Vancouver, BC and died unexpectedly on August 13, 2016 in Vancouver, BC. Nikki descends from the Casey / Bruneau and Williams /Nahanee families, she grew up on Eslha7an IR No. 1 and graduated from Centennial Secondary in Coquitlam, BC. Nikki can best be remembered for her love art and culture and she was a ballet dancing and photographer. Nikki spent time in Japan where she studied the culture and traditions of the Japanese and their way of life.

Nikki is survived by and will be dearly missed by her mother Irene Marie Anne (nee: Bruneau) Nahanee (Ron); father Lorne Whitten Nahanee Jr.; spouse Craig Derek Mullan; special daughter Madison Maureen Mullan; sisters Michelle Lorna Nahanee and Wendy Dawn Nahanee; nieces Claire Boudreau and Paisley Eva Marie Nahanee; and nephew Keona Dyson Nahanee Dallas and many loving relatives and dear friends.

Following a meeting with family it was decided that a private funeral service will be held.
