Nina Mackiewicz Obituary
Eugenia "Nina" Mackiewicz, 81, of Warrington, formerly of Whitehall, passed away on June 3, 2025. Raised in Nanticoke, PA, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Celia Szmurlo. Nina was preceded in death by Richard, her beloved husband of 59 years. Nina graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Wilkes Barre and later retired as an RN from Phoebe Allentown. She was a member and volunteer at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and School in Whitehall for many years, where she was once active in The Rosary Altar Society. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and loved her dogs.
She is survived by her son Jeffrey and wife Tammy of Whitehall; daughter Rebecca Arnaiz, husband Tom, and granddaughters Allie and Sofie, all of Lansdale; brother Gerald Szmurlo and wife Kathy of Mesquite, NV; and sister Janet Kanon and partner John Fowler of Nashville, TN.
Nina was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday July 2, 2025 at Holy Saviour Cemetery Section 31 in Bethlehem.
