Mrs Dorsett was a godsend to the lives of children like myself who grew up in the St James Rd area. I had the blessing to have had her as my guidance counselor at C I Gibson Jr High school from 1973-1976. Mrs Dorsett told me back then that it's "not where you start but where you end up". She had a poster of a poem entitled "Children live what they learn", on the wall in her office. That poem gave me such hope. I moved away from Nassau in 1979. I never saw Mrs Dorsett again until 2014. She hugged me, told me that she was proud of me, and repeated those words from long ago: "It's not where you start ... it's where you end up"! Rest in peace, Mrs Dorsett, for you did a great job looking out for loss lambs like me.

May God's comfort rest upon you during this time!
