Norma "Mimi" Gutierrez - On October 26, 2024 the world lost a vibrant spirit, a master of beauty an enthusiastic lover of crafts, a devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother, Norma Gutierrez "Mimi", left us peacefully at her home, surrounded by family to be with the lord. Preceded in death her mother Maria & Rangel Izaguirre. A long time Galveston Resident, who Moved to La Marque, she is survived by her husband, Jorge Gutierrez, Son George, wife Dina, their sons Diego and Teyo Gutierrez, Son Javier Gutierrez, with his family Julie, Chelsea, Bella, Jr, and Mia Gutierrez, Son Daniel "Danny" Gutierrez, wife Kristin, and their family Leon, Cam, Amri, Franklin, Noah, and Nico Gutierrez. Sister Sandra Alvarado and Husband Marty, Brother Marcos Hernandez, and Wife Laura, and Sister Ruth Hernandez. There are also numerous extended family members, nieces and nephews.

Married to her soulmate Jorge Gutierrez for over 50 wonderful years, Their bond showed us all what true love looks like. As we gather to celebrate her life, we remember her not with tears, but with joy and a heart full of love, knowing she's now dancing among the stars, She was known to many as Norma, but to her family she was always "Mimi".

The Family will receive visitors on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 pm with Vigil beginning at 7:00 pm at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City 77591. Funeral Outside of Mass will take place at the funeral home on October 31, 2024 from 8:30-9:00 am, followed by a procession to Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster TX 77591, for the Committal Service at 9:30 am.
