Dear Mike and Family,
This is Wendy, daughter of Vera and George Powers (Cleveland Ohio). Mom died in February of 2017 and dad died in 2015. She was actually dreaming of Norma in her final days. We all have such wonderful memories of both your mom and dad. She was a real joy and I am feel blessed to have known her.

I was saddened to hear your mom passed away. She is probably the last of my mothers friends to do so. My mother was Virginia Leonard from Battle Creek. I remember your parents doing things socially with my parents. There were so many parallels between our mothers in terms of personalities, goals, hobbies, interests and especially that she wanted My Way sung at her funeral. Our son sang that at my mom's funeral also because he thought that song described his grandma. It was so true. My mom died in 1998 and was living in Kazoo at the time. I am sure you all have wonderful memories of her. She was a good friend to my mom.

Sad to read of Norma's passing. I can still hear her laugh. She and Balby were wonderful neighbors many years ago.

I was one of the lucky ones to have her touch my life, if even for a brief time. She was a "classy" lady! Sarah Goetsch, Primrose Retirement Communities, LLC, Director of Nursing

Jim and family, Norma sounds like quite the lady. Must have been lots of fun. Sad that these wonderful people have to leave earth leaving us with only our memories. God be with you all as you deal with losing her.
