Norma L. Starr

Norma L. Moran Starr 87, of 511 Union St., North Adams, Mass., died on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005, at the North Adams Regional Hospital.
She was born in North Adams, Mass., on March 14, 1918, a daughter of the late Jesse Moran and Eva (Tondreau) Moran. She attended schools in North Adams, and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1935.
She was employed at the former Hoosac Mills of several years. From 1955 to 2003, she and her husband were the owners and operators of the former Starr’s Auto Sales Co. on Ashland Street in North Adams.
She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, North Adams, were she was a member of the Holy Rosary Society. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Charles Starr, whom she married July 24, 1955, in New Canaan, Conn., a daughter, Cheryl Starr-Boillat of North Adams; four sons, Bruce Catrambone of Ballston Spa, N.Y., Gregg Catrambone of Harrah, Okla., Joseph Catrambone of Clarksburg, Keith Starr of Leominster; a stepdaughter, Judith Rose of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; grandchildren, one greatgrandchild, three step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Arlene Blanchard.
FUNERAL SERVICES -- Services for Norma L. (Moran) Starr will take place Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, North Adams, with the Rev. Michael DeMasi as the celebrant. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling Hours at the funeral home are Monday from 4-8 p.m. Memorial Donations are suggested for the American Diabetes Assoc or to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
