Born in Reading, she was a daughter of Raymond and Virginia (Berger) Henry.
Irene was employed as a seamstress by the Spring City Knitting Co. and was a member of St. Aloysius RC Church.
Surviving are daughters: Susan, wife of Daniel Costantini; Leslie Pennypacker; Beverly, wife of Mark Smith; Diane, wife of Randy Hartman; Lisa Pennypacker; Theresa Dengler; and Roberta, wife of Douglas Patrick; sons: David Pennypacker and wife, Cynthia; Daniel Pennypacker; Donald Pennypacker and wife, Debra; and Douglas Pennypacker. Fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survived by Holly Hubbard and sister-in-law, Ruth Crater.
Predeceased by two brothers and one sister.
A Funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday Nov. 12, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Aloysius RC Church, Beech and Hanover Sts., Pottstown. Burial will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday morning 9 to 10 a.m. at the Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 High St., Pottstown.
