Odell McFarland Andrews

TUSCALOOSA Odell McFarland Andrews, age 86, of Tuscaloosa, died May 24, 2009, at Heritage Health Care. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Mr. Lee Jamieson of Central Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Andrews, her parents, John R. and Nola T. McFarland, her brothers, Wendall McFarland and Paul McFarland, and her sister, Pauline Holder.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Faulkner (Aubrey) of Tuscaloosa, Pat Tatum (Ed) of Baton Rouge, La., Debbie Greason (Rob) of Orange Beach, and Cheryl Brown (Steve) of Dallas, Texas; her sons, George W. "Bill" Andrews (Katherine) of Tuscaloosa and Michael R. "Mike" Andrews (Linda) of Tuscaloosa; her stepdaughter, Gayle Ramirez (Joe) of Huntsville; her sister, Mary Busby of Nashville, Tenn.; her brother, Thomas F. McFarland of Columbia, Tenn.; her grandchildren, Teresa Logan, Sue Andrews, Billy Wayne Andrews, Bobby Andrews, Amy Faulk, Tina Godbold, Edward Tatum, Lauren Tatum, Erin Greason, Chris Andrews, Kate Young, Shelby Greason, Nick Brown, and Andrew Faulkner; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Andrews was born in Columbia, Tenn. and lived in Tuscaloosa for over 50 years. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed by all.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Billy Wayne Andrews, Bobby Andrews, Edward Tatum, Chris Andrews, Nick Brown, and Andrew Faulkner.

Honorary pallbearers are Central Church of Christ, staff of Station 2 at Heritage Health Care, Harold Willcutt family, Dr. Leonard Jones and staff, Mary and Charles Wheeler, and Southern Care Hospice.
