November 23, 1929 - May 20, 2012
Peacefully and courageously Olga (Charzewski) Skepel has passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2012 in Saskatoon, SK due to cancer. She was predeceased by her husband Max Skepel and by her parents John and Mary (nee Kachkowski) Charzewski, sister Mercy Ross, brothers Hellar and Nestor. Left to cherish her memory is her brother Al (Lorraine) Charr; special friend Joe Hromek; brother-in-law Alvin Ross; sister-in- law, Nellie Charzewski; niece Laura; nephew Curtis and their children; as well as many friends she held dear to her heart. Olga was born and schooled in Garland, MB, worked in Winnipeg where she met her future husband, Max. They were married in 1945. Together they traveled throughout British Columbia where her husband worked as a heavy equipment operator. They moved to Saskatoon where Olga worked at the U of S in Biochemistry till her retirement. A special thanks to all the doctors and nurses who were her caregivers who made her comfortable in her last months - God bless you all. Church services and a celebration of her life will be held in Saskatoon on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Park Funeral Chapel (311 - 3rd Avenue North) with a luncheon to follow. Interment will take place in Garland Union Cemetery, Garland, MB. Memorial donations in Olga's name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 101 440 2nd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2C3.
