Olga Lena Beutler Spencer

Olga Lena Beutler Spencer 1914 ~ 2009 Our loving matriarch, Olga Lena Beutler Spencer, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed through the veil, on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, to be reunited with her eternal companion.Olga was born in North Logan, Utah on Jan. 29, 1914, the daughter of Felix and Margaritha Beutler. She married Orson Burnham Spencer in the Logan Temple in 1941. Olga was a devoted wife and mother, spending the hours of her life serving and teaching her six living children. Many are the precious memories she leaves behind in the hearts of her posterity. Olga lived an exemplary life in every way. As a dedicated handmaiden of her Lord and Savior, she served three full-time missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in Kenya, Africa, St. George, and Salt Lake City, Utah. As a longtime citizen of Carbon County, Utah, she worked tirelessly with her husband in civic and cultural activities. She is survived by her daughters, Jane (Dan) Madsen, Judy (Rand) Torgerson, Susan (Dennis) Deaton, Margaret (Keven) Brockbank, Jill (Randy) Finley; her son, David (Tori) Spencer; 38 grandchildren and 62 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband; son, Jon Wallace; granddaughter; three great-grand-children; and all of her siblings; six brothers and two sisters. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 3, 2009, at the Morningside Stake Center, 881 South River Road, St. George, Utah at 2:00 p.m. A viewing will precede the service, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Interment will be at the Price City Cemetery in Price, Utah on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements are made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S.
