Pamela Davies Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 4, 2024.
Pamela Mae Davies (née Powell) left this earth way too soon after she suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm. She joined her Heavenly Father on December 29, 2023. In true Pam fashion, her last act was incredibly selfless as she was able to successfully give life via organ and tissue donation.

Pam was born a twin in Midland, Texas on February 19, 1968. A true West Texas girl, she spent happy childhood years in El Paso and high school years in Andrews. She attended Texas Tech University and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta.

Pam held many titles: Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Friend, Leader, Mentor. But, her favorites were Wife and Mom. After having her first son Townsend Franklin in Odessa in 1992, the two moved to start a new chapter of life in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Not long after, Pam met the love of her life, Craig, on the dance floor of an Aflac event. Pam and Craig were married in 1995, and Craig adopted Townsend. A few years later in 1998, their son Pierce Richard was born in Waco.

Pam absolutely loved her stay-at-home mom life from being a volunteer room mom, to attending Townsend's singing and dancing performances and Pierce's many football and baseball games. Nothing made her prouder than seeing her two boys happy.

As her boys got older, Pam started to work outside the home in 2019. She discovered a true talent in sales with Aflac, the company where Craig has built his long and successful career. She rose from star associate to star district coordinator. She won numerous awards and accomplished many milestones including Texas North Leader of the Year 2021, #1 DSC New Accounts in the U.S. 2023, and Amos Award Nominee 2023. Her team of Davies Divas benefited greatly from her servant leadership. One of her greatest joys in her work life was being able to share it with Craig, who was of course her husband, but also her boss and regional sales coordinator.

Pam is survived by her husband Craig Davies, two sons Townsend Davies and Pierce Davies, and Townsend's fiancé John Box. She is also survived by her loving parents Weldon Dwayne Powell and Patricia Jones Powell, her precious sisters and brothers-in-law, Kimberly and Edward Barcena, and twin Paige and Rodney Buck. Pam is also survived by her beloved nephews and nieces Tyler and Brittney Barcena, Ryan and Jordan Barcena, Bailey and Kyle Williamson, Barrett Buck and her sweet grand-niece and grand-nephews (Blakleigh, Branham, Kasen, Kellan and Jones.)

Pam will be remembered for lighting up every room she walked into. Her grace and charm, her wink and smile, and her incredibly infectious laugh will live in our hearts forever.

Pam's Celebration of Life will be held at White's Chapel Methodist Church at 185 S White Chapel Blvd in Southlake, Texas on Thursday, February 8th. The service will be held in the Sanctuary at 1 pm followed immediately by a reception in Evans Hall.

Our family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society (in honor of her twin sister and breast cancer survivor Paige) or the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center in Pam's name.

Pam was so wonderful helping my office and staff with her wisdom and I only knew her for such a short time, but she was lovely. Heaven truly has gained an angel. Wishing you all happy memories to cherish and pray you find peace. ~Nancy Blinn and the Dental Health Arlington staff

Something that I will always remember about Pam is when I was just starting with Aflac, and as a new agent, I was in a bit over my head attempting to reach my Fast Start Goals. Pam stayed up late at night on personal time, coaching me on phone enrollments. Walking me through every step of the way as well as providing encouragement in my abilities as an agent. She always greeted me with a hug and a big smile. She had a wonderful way of making you feel like family.

Pam was the most beautiful person not only outside but a beautiful caring person always available to help. I will miss her smile, her wink and the point of the finger. She has been taken to soon, but I am sure she is exceeding all goals God has for her and probably suggesting some new things that can be done in heaven. RIP Pam

The last time I saw Pam she was coming out of Amanda Risner's Aflac Office. She looked great and was laughing (not at all unusual) . I asked her "How's it going pretty lady?"
She threw back her head, laughed and said "I love my life!"
I cherish that memory.

I consider myself blessed to have been impacted by this beautiful soul in human form, Pamela Davies. After a brief encounter, she saw something special in me, and gave me the opportunity to be one of her Divas. Without knowing how much I needed a career change, she introduced me to Aflac, and challenged me to educate and help others without fear of rejection. Her humble, loving spirit inspired me to be the best version of myself and to see the best in others through the same lens that seemed to be her guiding light. I will forever cherish her genuine support and mentorship. She was indeed the most impeccable example of a selfless Leader that I have ever known and I am grateful for the life lessons, car chats, laughs and celebrations. I know you will be watching as we continue to crush goals, Love you Pam! Your wings were ready, but my heart was not... FLY HIGH

I met Pam through Paige. She was always so calm, professional and polished. She was patient and sweet and had empathy. She was supportive, encouraging and understanding and never judgmental. She was an exceptional soul.

I met Pam through Paige when My daughter, Kailey and Bailey danced together when they were in 1st grade.. Pam´s son Townsend was the same age as Kailey and wound up being in class together. I had known her for quite awhile but the one thing she said I will always remember and hear her voice saying, "we get each other, we parent the same way uh huh yes Mam"! She was the purest, kindest and I´m just so sorry I wasn´t a more in touch friend

I can´t explain my heartbreak losing Pam and as bad as I feel, I know how close she was to her family. I can´t imagine their pain. Pam and Paige were the two first friends I made in Southlake almost 20 years ago through kids sports. Paige eventually became Katie´s teacher and I just got closer to the twins. Pam had the sweetest, softest heart and exuded a friendliness that made you feel like you were special to her. It didn´t matter how often you saw her. I never saw her without a smile on her face. Although she appeared to be the shy twin, she always asked about you and your family and was happy to tell you about hers. She was proud of those boys and they are the best of her. The boys and Paige and the rest of the family are in my constant thoughts and we´re praying for them.
