Pamela Fuller Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 19, 2025.
Santa Paula - On March 9th my lovely wife Pamela Fuller made her transition into the next adventure on her path. She was and will always be a person of passion, kindness, and love. Pamela was a human being's human, and she believed in service everyday. Her legacy is goodness, and we were lucky to have her in our lives, leaving an overwhelming hole. We now rejoice in the time that we were fortunate enough to have this remarkable spirit, and are experiencing the absence of this beautiful soul who was our rock.

Pamela was born April 25th 1949 in Evanston Illinois to Dorothy "Dodie" Wilder Fuller, and Charles "Bud" Fuller, and was their youngest of four children. She was truly a character whom excelled in horse back riding, state champion spring board diver, musician, and multi talent in many creative efforts. She thrived on spiritual growth, empowering and educating others, creating, embracing, and nurturing both her family relationships, and those with her many friends! She had several occupations through her many wonderful years including teaching, restauranteur, massage therapist, Reiki practitioner, was an early participant in tech, and even produced a feature film. She leaves behind her three siblings Amy, David, and John, her loving sons Aaron, and Byron, the daughter she never had Eve, and of course her best friend and husband Chip. She loved her numerous nieces and nephews, and adored her three grandchildren Julien, Xavier, and Alex. Pamela sang choir and attended service at Ventura Center for Spiritual Living, was a proud member of various fellowships, and leaves friend circles in Virginia, North Carolina, California, and you'd be hard pressed not to find a connection of her's in all of the 50 states. It is an understatement to proclaim she left her mark from Virginia Beach, to Norfolk, to Outer Banks, to Ventura, and Santa Paula. Her three cats Romeo, Sasha, and Gabby have lost their human North Star, and we all feel a bit like lost kittens without her earthly presence. She truly quested for knowledge on any subject, loved culture, loved speaking in accents, preparing and enjoying delicious flavors of the world, live music, film, and her favorite pastime laughter. Just remember in times of sadness when thinking of PWF, just search in the sky for a bird of prey, as she so loved them, and she loved you.

I forgot to mention that Pam (she was Pam then) was my student and best friend when we were both in our 20s.I was a counselor at Tidewater Community College in VA Beach. She took me on so many adventures and was always there for me. I can't remember which of her brothers had an infant then and I baby sat and did not know how to diaper a baby. And the baby actually helped me to do it by rolling over and making eye contact with me. An experience I have never forgotten and never learned to diaper a baby after that.

I have so many good memories....crab and cooking lobster, playing guitar and baby sitting. Visiting Amy in DC. Her last visit to see me when my husband died this year and inviting me to have Thanksgiving with her family this year. And I will always remember that after we were out of touch for a while, she saw me in the audience of a PBS folk music telecast, and she called the PBS station to find out how to contact me in Atlanta and she found me again! What a wonderful person and friendship I will always cherish. Love, Lea Weinstein

My deepest condolences go to Chip and Pamela´ s family. I only had the pleasure of meeting Pamela once when I met my cousin Chip for the first time when they visited Norfolk Virginia a few years ago. It was with Pamela´s help that I discovered my family connections to Chip. I´m sorry I didn´t get to know her better - as her grace and kindness was apparent even in our brief meeting. May her memory bring you comfort. Paul Kotarides

I am Amy´s friend Alva and met Pamela when she came to visit Amy. Her spirit was calming and sincere. I felt the goodness in her soul. I understand when you say she left a hole in your lives. Be kind to yourselves as you grieve. It is different for each of us. And last, please know that her transition doesn´t fully remove her from your lives. Look for signs. She is still with you but in different form and able to soar like Angels. She is your very own Angel now.

Pamela and I shared a birthday celebration just last April at Commonweal. She was a (my) beacon of light.

To the family for the loss of a great person. It saddens me to know that my good friend will miss her sister and I am glad she was able to see her before she passed. Now one can just remember happy moments in her life. Remember that we all need to be there for each other. Pamela can rest without pain and be in our hearts.
