Patricia (Crum) Avery of Plymouth died November 28, 2014, at age 87. With former husband Phillips, Pat was mother of Janis Avery and her wife Mary of Seattle, Wash., Sarah Avery of Montclair, N.J., and Elizabeth Haughn of Plymouth. She was sister to Betty Lou and Bill Dry of Spring Hill, Fla.; grandchildren include Felicia, Emerson and Matthew Gordon of New Jersey, Amber and Darrell Avery of Seattle and Adam and Caleb Haughn of Plymouth. Pat was born in Ridgewood, N.J., moved to Nantucket in 1978 and Plymouth in 1998. Pat contributed to civic life as a volunteer in her church, politics, the YWCA, PTA, and adult literacy. She tremendously enjoyed her mid-life career in real estate and retail sales. A funeral service will be held December 23, at 1 p.m. at Christ Church, 149 Court Street, Plymouth. Memorial gifts may be made to the Resident Activity Fund for Alden Unit, 123 South Street, Plymouth, MA 02360, or Cure Alzheimers Fund www.curealz.org/. The family will also be grateful for memorial gifts made to any charity, honoring Pats life of service. To offer condolences, please visit www.shepherdfuneralhome.com.
