Patricia COURTNEY

COURTNEY (Ridge), Patricia Was born Feb 25, 1927, in New York City to her parents, Patrick and Ellen (Clarke) Ridge and Died: Feb 18, 2020. She was the youngest of 6 children. She graduated from St. John's University in 1947 with a BS in Chemistry, the first of her family to graduate college. She married Robert J Courtney, Sr. in 1951. They were together 57 years until his passing in 2008. Together they raised 7 children. She is preceded in death by her husband, sister, brothers, sisters-in-law and two nephews. She called herself the last of the Mohicans. She is survived by her children and their families: Patrick (Marge) Courtney, Thomas (Sharon) Courtney, Robert, Jr. (Miye) Courtney, Mary Ellen (Tony) Miley, Paul (Gwen) Courtney, Rosaleen (Dean) Waggenspack, and John (Jennifer) Courtney. She is the proud grandma of 20 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews and their families. Patricia was a devout Catholic with a deep faith in God. She was very proud of her Irish heritage, her parents having been born in County Cavan, Ireland. She loved to play bridge. She loved golf, the UD flyers and NY Yankees. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (4500 Ackerman Blvd, Kettering OH 45429) at 10:30 A.M.
