Patricia Griffin Obituary
Ms. Griffin was born February 5, 1948 in New Albany, MS to the late Gaston Griffin and Callie D. Carter Griffin. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange, where she was active in multiple church activities. Ms. Griffin was a member of Newcomers Club. She was passionate about educating young people, having retired from the Decatur Alabama School System as a lifelong elementary teacher.
Left to cherish her memory are longtime family friends, Stuart and Dana Countess and their children, Jac and Anna; Suzanne and Doug Cook and their children, Abbie and Turner; other relatives and close friends.
A Memorial service will be held 1:00pm Friday, December 8, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange with Rev. Jan Stewart Tolbert and Dr. Harry Barrow officiating. In lieu of flowers, it is respectfully requested that donations be made to West Georgia Hospice (1510 Vernon Rd., LaGrange, GA 30240) in memory of Ms. Patricia L. Griffin.

Spent many good times with Patsy in New Albany. She was a joy and delight to be around during high school and church. Sad to hear of her passing. God bless all those left to cherish her memory.

Miss Griffin was my 2nd grade teacher at Walter Jackson. She was truly a sweet woman and one of my all time favorites. I've thought about her many times over the years. She will be missed.

I have know Patsy over 35 years. She was the first person to teach me how to cross stitch. I also knew her by attending several school workshops in Decatur. I haven't seen Patsy in years, but I think about her every time I pass the little yellow stitchery house that she had on Somerville Road in Decatur. I always loved being around her because of the smile that she would always put on my face. She was a wonderful person.
