Patricia Lamothe Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jun. 6 to Jun. 7, 2020.
It’s with the heaviest of hearts that we share with you the passing of Patricia Louise Lamothe, Patty Lou, Nana, Nanny Pat, and Gagi to family and friends. Pat was born August 21, 1948, and she received her angel wings on June 5, 2020.
She leaves behind her husband Jay who cared for her with all his might, at their home in West Barnstable on Cape Cod where she wanted to be.

In addition to her Loving Husband, Gerald A. Lamothe Jr. (Jay), she also leaves behind her son Jeffrey Lamothe and her beautiful granddaughters Madison, Meredith and Molly; her daughter Jennifer and her husband Scott and grandchildren Connor & Griffin Root and Hunter and Mariah Choiniere.

Oh, and Frank The Tank too!

Pat was the daughter of the late Louis and Muriel Judd of Holyoke, Ma where she was born and raised before she and Jay moved to Cape Cod in 1974. Patty Lou was the oldest of all her siblings in her big Irish family. She leaves behind Louis John (Louie) Judd, Mary (Moey) Cabral, Eileen Bryant, Kathryn Hoar, Michael Judd, Bridget Judd Roy, and all of their spouses that she loved so much. She also leaves behind Judith and Michael Flaherty of Longmeadow, Ma.

Pat was predeceased by Muriel (Nuchie) Hennessey; and her son in law that she adored so much, David C. Root. Pat cherished all her nieces and nephews that she was gifted with from such a large family.

She loved working hard all week and enjoyed numerous years at Sandy Neck on long extended weekends. She and Jay were just at the beginning of their golden years, living in Fort Myers Beach, Florida during the Winter where they have many friends Pat just loved to be with.

Pat was loving, funny as the day is long, and beautiful! She was the salt of the earth to so many. Her strong Irish spirit helped her fight through what Alzheimer’s was trying to take away from her. Keep her close to your hearts forever as we will.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at a future date. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.doanebealameshyannis.com

Pat was such a kind and loving person. We were in school from Highland School to Holyoke High. I have many happy memories from that time. My condolences to Jay and the kids.

Pat sounds like someone I would have enjoyed meeting. My mother came from a "Lamothe" family from Holyoke MA & all the Lamothe's in my family background are such groovy people I bet that somewhere in the past we are all related. May God rest her soul and I am sure she will be missed by all who knew her.

Those sun filled & salt sprayed days on Sandy Neck...Pat's great smile & laughter are memories that do not fade....from the Lynches' camper to yours I pass on an Irish saying "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal."
