Naples, FL - Patricia R. Murphy, 81 of Naples Fl. passed away peacefully at her home, on Friday August 8, 2025.

Born December 8th, 1943 in Washington, D.C. Graduated from Suitland High School in Suitland, Maryland in 1961. She Obtained her Bachelor's degree from Boston University and her master's degree from Babson College, Babson Park, MA.

She had a lengthy career as a financial analyst. Her passion for cats was well known to anyone who knew her, and she volunteered countless hours over the past 20 plus years at Patty Baker Humane Society of Naples, FL. Before moving to Naples, permanently, she did similar volunteer work with Talbot Humane Society of Easton, MD. Over the years she also donated generously to various charities. Her pastimes at home were her cats. morning walks, reading, and her love of oil painting, also eating out at various local restaurants with her husband.

Proceeded in death by her husband, James R. Murphy, parents Charles R. Petty and Marion B. Petty and nephew Matthew R. Petty.

Patricia is survived by her brother, Chuck Petty and wife Sandra of Prairieville, LA niece Jennifer L. Petty of Prairieville, LA nephew Sean M. Petty, and wife Brooke of Central LA, stepdaughter Jessica Murphy Greene and husband Matthew Greene, of Needham MA and stepson Daniel Murphy and wife, Anastasia Tsiamita, of Westfield NJ., nephew Beau M. Petty, and nieces Brynn E. Petty and Tyler C. Petty, step-grandchildren, Christopher A. Greene, Sean D. Greene, Danae Murphy, Leandros Murphy. Step-nieces Mary Ann Cline, husband Trey, of Prairieville, LA., Elizabeth Orobono, husband Fran of West Chester, PA, step great-nephews Michael K. Ragan, Cole Cline, Briggs M. Cline, step great-nieces, Anna E. Cline, Mary E. Orobono, Lily M. Orobono and Kennedy M. Cline.
