Patricia "Pat" Paddock slipped away peacefully in her sleep on October 22nd, age 92. Pat was born in Irlam, England, and emigrated along with her mother Florence, to the U.S. at the end of WWII, in 1946.

Settling in southern California, Pat attended secretarial school prior to marrying Robert Dryburgh (1951), and later Todd Paddock (1967), and raising four children. Her passion was dancing and she was accomplished in all the ballroom styles as well as in-fashion dances like the West Coast Swing.

After retiring as a legal secretary with the University of California, Pat relocated to the Grass Valley area in the early 90's to be near family. She was active in the community with the Unitarian Universalist church, Hospice of the Foothills, Interfaith Food Ministry, Nevada County Pride, PFLAG, and Foothill Theater Company, to name a few.

Pat was preceded in death by husband Bob McCance and daughter Anne Hardy, and is survived by daughter Kathy Palmer, sons Steve Dryburgh and Brian Paddock, three grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
