Patricia Jan "Dutch" Willis

Patricia Jan Willis, also known as Dutch, passed away on January 3, 2024, at the age of 80 in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was born on January 13, 1943, in the home of her Grandma and Grandpa Courser in Winn, Michigan. Dutch was a loving mother to her son, Todd Willis, and her two daughters, Julia (Willis) Zervos (Clark Zervos), Margaret (Willis) Murphy (Paul Murphy). She also cherished her role as a grandmother to Erica Pires (Paulo Pires), Lauren Jones (Taylor Jones), Mason Zervos, Billy Murphy, Kate Murphy, Charlie Murphy, and Grace Murphy. Additionally, Dutch was a great grandmother to Lucas Pires, Mateos Pires, Payton Luers, Sadie Jones, and Magnolia Jones. Her siblings Terry and Maggie Foote, Corwin and Micki Foote, Marsha and Paul Osburne, and their families.

Dutch was preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Ernestine Foote, her brother Darwin Foote, sister in law Francine Foote, and her husband Ellwyn Willis. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Dutch attended Vestaburg Elementary for her primary education and later graduated from Cedar Lake Academy for high school. She continued her education and became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Dutch dedicated her career to nursing, working as an LPN in Florida.

Dutch was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, where she found solace and strength in her faith.

A graveside service will be held to honor Dutch's memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's research foundation, as Dutch held a deep concern for this cause.
