Today, in a large, nearly full, worship hall in Seffner, family and friends honored the life of Pat Cullina Sr. I knew Pat while in Korea, at Ft. Meade, and when he moved here to the Tampa area to finish his military career. Pat was a special character, always attentive, on task at work or on the sports field. Pat was also a prankster -- you knew something was up, he was good at feigning innocence or disinterest until something zany occurred.
Pat dearly loves his wife and each family member. Today Pat had a Divine appointment that led us all to God's house for the final time. He finished his course in life and now resides with his Heavenly Father. Now, from the banister of Heaven, he will intently watch for each family member to be in God's House; imagine the large smile on his face when he watches his family worshiping the God of eternity.
It was by Divine appointment that we were all there today. Pat finished his course and is now watching each of us, urging us to also finish well. He was a loved and respected man who honored God and God's house. I'm sure he has already heard his Savior say: "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

Pat was a mentor, teammate, co-worker, neighbor, and friend. In all, he was just a fantastically good human. While we lost track of each other for stretches, when we did connect again, friends immediately caught up. He was funny, serious, focused, curious, and tough as nails. Here´s one last Skivvy-nine HO!, Pat Cullina. You left a lot of marks.

Uncle Pat was an undeniably and truly an amazing man. I am so sorry Aunt Debbie, Kristin, Michael, Patrick, and Renee. My heart goes out to you and I'm sending all of my love and support. He loved you guys so much, more than anything in the entire world. Family was his everything.
He was always there for you no matter what.
There's no doubt that he will be missed so deeply by so many.
There are so many memories - it's hard to pick a few to share. It's the little things that mean the most.
All the times I was raking the leaves in his front yard and would sit down for a break only to hear him jokingly say, "What are you - tired already?!" But then bring me a glass of lemonade and chat with me until he said "At this pace, you'll have to come over next weekend to finish raking!" And even though I always finished - I still wanted to come over next weekend.
All the Football Sundays - being on the other side of the house but knowing exactly what's going on with the game from Uncle Pat's "TOUCHDOWN!!" and "Come onnn, you've gotta be kidding me!"
All the little teasing he did (out of love of course).
All the bear hugs.
All the holidays filled with good food, laughter, and post-turkey naps on the couch.
I can still hear him say, "I'm not sleeping! I'm just resting my eyes."(Even though he was just snoring.)
Rest in Peace, Uncle Pat. We love you so much. Thank you for always being you.

Pat was a mentor, teammate, co-worker, and next-door neighbor. In each, you could not ask for someone better. He was smart, giving, and had a fantastic sense of humor. He is exactly the person you would think would end up as crew of the Buccaneer's Pirate Ship. Exactly that person, something fun, but duties taken seriously. I, for one, am a better person for knowing Pat Cullina. Thanks, Pat, so here's one last Skivvy-nine, HO!

You will be missed ole friend but you lived a honorable life as a veteran and more importantly as a husband, father, grandfather and a friend to those lucky enough to have known you. The hockey season will not be the same

I worked with Pat many years ago and can only imagine the loss the family is feeling. I remember a phone call with Pat where I think we both got into trouble for laughing so hard. He told joke after joke and I ended up with tears rolling down my face. for the family and may he rest in peace.

Colloquially known as the Commish, Pat welcomed this `Canuck´ into his golf circle and re-energised my passion for the game. He cared about the game and took pride in it being played the correct way. From Germany via Canada, please accept my heart-felt condolences. Rest in peace big fella. The fairways are lush up there and the cigars plentiful.

All the Lightning games and him being the one to get the whole stadium to start cheering and chanting, " Let's Go Lightning!" I always thought it was like magic when he did that. I don't know anyone else who could.
All the little teasing he did (out of love of course). I remember being 14 or so and waiting after the Lightning game to meet Cedric Paquette. Uncle Pat helped me get a photo with him but then proceeded to tease me the whole ride home about how I was blushing & thought he was cute and how I can't date boys until I'm 35 (Sorry Uncle Pat).
All the bear hugs.
