I didn't know Paul personally but from what I've read and heard these past few days it doesn't surprise me that he was to those that did a lot like his son and my friend Matt was to me. A real stand-up guy. My condolences.

Kristy, Mike, David, Matt, and Judy I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Paul’s passing. I will always remember his infectious laugh, his great stories and joke telling. To go through life making people laugh, as well as, being able to laugh at yourself. Is true sign of one’s character, and a character he was!

I will miss you Uncle Paul. When you’re reunited with Grandma and Grandpa in the afterlife, please give them my best.

Bog. was one of a kind. He and I spent many memorable rides together up and down W7th St. on the St. cars and later on driving across the old High Bridge he would put his arm around me an "sing" "I'm in the Mood for Love" His laughter came from his toes on up! There was always some thing or some one he'd point out and say"Lookit that Fella"and then the laugh would roll out of him. Paul, I'm missing you deeply already and can only say I have been blessed having in my life and now "the "big fella" is going to ride with you and put his arms around you.Goodbye my friend.

As the son of Paul’s cousin, Phyllis Rezarch Hays, most of my contact with Paul was during family visits to the farm in Park Falls, Wisconsin, where Paul’s Aunt Sadie and Uncle George (my grandparents) lived. As a teenager, it was always a treat when the Bogie family came to visit. The farm became alive with family, laughter, activity, and lots and lots of stories, which to my delight included many things my mother did. Paul’s laugh, quick wit, and sharp sense of humor are what I remember and will miss the most. Even now, 40 years later, in my mind’s eye I can clearly see Paul, beer in hand, at the kitchen table, telling stories, laughing, and having the time of his life.

The last time I saw Paul was in Tulsa at my mom’s funeral, almost two years ago. My mom treasured her Bogie cousins, and their presence that day was a comfort to all of us.

Darlene and I extend our sympathy to all of Paul’s family. He will definitely be missed.

With love,
Bob

To the family of Paul Bogie and Aunt Judy,

So, sorry to hear of your sudden loss. I know how hard it must be. Paul always made me laugh even when he made me try pickled herring. I also loved his jokes. I will not forget all the times he told me Aunt Judy you were a wonderful mother and person in his eyes. I know you will be lost without him. He was always there for you. The days ahead will not be easy. I am sorry I will not be able to attend the funeral. You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. God bless Uncle Paul! Love, Jackie

I have known Paul since birth as my parents Lucille and Ken White and his parents Mable and Ray Bogie were close friends. Paul and I were the same age and we attended Monroe High School together. Paul was our fun loving person. His laugh was contagious and he was a delight to be around. I will miss this wonderful guy and I am so happy to have great memories of him.

My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones at this time and may God grant you peace.

Love,

Shotgun Paul Bogie, he made me laugh. I could listen to him tell stories about the old days forever, and the best part of each story was when he made himself laugh. From the top of Paul's flat top hair cut to his ace bandaged ankles, he was all "West 7th Streeter" and I loved him for that. Paul loved sports and he loved life, I wonder what God promised Paul to get him to leave his family and friends to go to heaven. Paul Bogie will be missed by his family and friends and the community. God bless Paul and everyone whose life he touched.
