I was with you as you cried last night, so much for counting sheep. Your thoughts were running rampant, it was hard for you to sleep. I knew you were missing me and wishing I was there. You laid awake all night thinking of the memories we shared.
I watched you as you tried to eat lunch. You couldn't' even drink your tea,
You were thinking of all the things you wish you'd said to me.
I wanted to say “Don't Worry, Seriously, it's ok. “
“I know every word you would say to me if we had another day.”
I was with you when you visited my grave today,
I heard you cry out to God, “why did you take him away?”
As hard as you try, you can't figure out why it had to be me.
Your mind is so scrambled, but someday, you will see.
You will know why this happened, the reason I had to leave.
You will understand it all in time, ‘til then, just believe.
There's a higher Power working and He has a perfect plan.
I didn't see it either, but trust me on this – if you can.
Someday when it's your time to come to the other side,
I'll rush to welcome you with my arms open wide.
I'll show you around Heaven, there's so much to see.
But that time is not now. That's just the way it must be.
You must live out your journey as I had to live out mine.
And know His timing is perfect. We must trust in the Devine.
So go live, laugh, and love – be who you're supposed to be.
And when your job on earth is done, come Home and be with me.
You are missed by many..but we will see you again. Rest in peace my friend..

So nice to hear such wonderful things about a man I heard about and never met. A few of my friends mentioned his quick passing and how much he meant to everyone. I am so sorry for your loss but now he will be with everyone of you all the time. Sadly, he will be missed on this earth, but there will be the biggest celebration in heaven.

My deepest sympathy to Paul's family. I was lucky to be touched by such a sincere man. I was a server at Dante's where I met Paul. I was on my own hard journey in life and I had several talks with Paul, which just lifted my spirit. He will be missed dearly.

My heart brakes. Paul was such an encouraging person to any artist. I was lucky enough to share the stage with him on a few occasions.
My deepest sympathy goes to his family.

We are still stunned at Paul's passing. He was a great guy with a smile that made the world smile. I just saw him a few weeks ago when he was a volunteer at the Broughton Fire Hall. He told me that I shorted him $1.00 on a ticket purchase. He was so charming about it, I almost gave him $2.00!!
It is so hard to lose someone we love especially unexpectedly. We question and seek a reason why. God may not answer but if we have faith, He will give us the strength to carry on. You all will be in my prayers.

We are so stunned at Paul's passing. I just saw him when he volunteered at the Broughton Fire Hall. He told me that I shorted him $1.00 for a ticket. He was so charming I would have given him $2.00!! He was a good soul. The song "When You're Smiling" could have been written for him.
Losing someone we love is never easy especially when it happens unexpectedly. We search for a reason to make sense of it. God may not give us an answer but if we have faith, he will give us the strength to carry on. You are in my prayers.

To the Cicero family, I can't say anything you haven't already heard. I spent years in a band with Paul and his energy, smile and sense of humor will always remind me of someone I should try to be. He was always thinking of others and not himself. He could laugh at himself with blazing one liners and then throw one at you. He was a standup guy, with integrity. You should be so proud the way you raised him. We all will miss him very much. Paul, I thank you for having known you and learning so much from you. I am lucky to have experiences with you in my life.

You know, you go through life wondering "Do I make a difference? Will anyone ever miss me when Im gone?".....Paul never had to worry about those sentiments. Anyone who ever met him was infected by his love of life. He had a wisdom that so surpassed his 50 short years here on earth. Paul became part of our "family" through Mike V., and family he truly was. Whether it was lunch, a Christmas party, a tailgate party, or just a "lets go for a ride on the motorcycle", you knew that no matter what was going on in your day, Paul would make that day just a little bit better...scratch that..a lot better. His smile and sense of humor was contagious.
He called on Thursday and made me and Mike go to lunch with him. That is a day I will forever cherish and never forget. He really didn't have to twist our arms too much, because we both knew we could forget about work, and enjoy life for a minute.
To his brother and sisters, and especially to his parents..My deepest condolences and my sincerest thanks for raising such a fine man. He most definitely made a difference to so many people. He will be sorely missed. He will be thought of often with so many tears and with so much laughter.... Thanks for being my friend, Paul. I will miss you.

My sincere condolences to the Cicero family and all of Paul's loved friends. Paul woke up each day to live his mantra of "What can I do for you today?" And that he did. His goal was to make others happy and help anyone in need. He was the most giving, kind, funny, empathetic soul I have known. A wonderful man who owned a room when he was in it, not because he wanted to, but because his joy of life, kindness, generosity of spirit, beautiful smile and humor were infectious. People gravitated to him because he exuded a unique set of qualities that gave others happiness. He brought me so much joy and hopefully made me a better person as a result of knowing him. I will miss him deeply.

My daughter had a few dates with Paul many yrs. ago. She had a horse, and asked Paul what outdoor activities he enjoyed. He said the only thing his family did outdoors was EAT! These were the days when Valerie Kearney was at her best (or baddest!) and we always had so much fun. Barb, I am heartbroken and so sad, even after all these many years - and condolences to Carol and Greg -- Paul was such a cute guy. Gerrie Ash

Dear Cicero family, I am so saddened by the loss of Paul.
Although I've only known Paul for just a few years, it seems we had a special bond as he had with just about everybody. I'm very glad to know that he knew who Christ was, And I know exactly where he is! Can't wait to see you again my friend,

Dear Cicero Family,
I was very sorry to learn of this yesterday, it's about the last thing I expected to hear...... I can say that Paul was one of the nicest kids in the neighborhood growing up, and he certainly remained that way over the years. I know he'll be missed by so many and I wish the circumstances were very different..... Best Regards........

We all at ACHIEVA will miss Paul. Paul was a generous and caring volunteer who was always there for our organization and our events. He volunteered at both our auction and golf events, always smiling and willing to help with what ever was needed. His warm personality and caring demeanor will be missed by all.

To Paul's family......I am sooo saddened by the passing of your precious Paul. He was truly one of a kind! I have known him many years but just recently got to know him a little better thru playing music together. His last few hours were spent playing music with us, his friends, and that time with him will always be cherished. He was warm, genuine, generous, upbeat and funny - he always gave that infectious smile to EVERYONE he was near. Our hearts are broken and we grieve along with you. Paul's strong faith in Jesus will remain in us to see us through this difficult time. He is happily with his Lord and Savior now but I will miss him so terribly. I can't even begin to imagine your level of pain.....Please accept my deepest and most profound sympathy.

Paul was one of the kindest and compassionate people that I ever met. He was loved by many and will certainly be missed. Many times he came to my office and we prayed together and when my grandson was paralyzed in a hockey accident he came to the hospital. I always told him he reminded me of Tony Orlando. He is now in he arms of the Lord. My prayers and thoughts are with his family. May he rest in peace.

You left so quick, did not say goodbye.
We're left confused and wonder why?
God must have had a party planned.
and needed a drummer for his band.
Your smile, your laugh, your thoughtfulness
Are the gifts you left behind.
We'll have these memories to treasure
when you are on our mind.
I'm sure you're looking down from above
On all the people that you love.
“Love one another, and do not fight,
Everything is gonna be alright!”
We'll think of you often, and when we do
We'll have a Sicillian Kiss for you!
Rest in Peace my friend.........
