Paul David Hinkle, 86, passed away on December 23rd, 2024.

Born on September 21st, 1938, in Cherokee, Kansas, Paul resided there until moving with his mother to Antioch, CA in 1944. After graduating from Antioch High School he pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from CA State University of Sacramento.

Paul was the managing editor for two local newspapers; Administrative Assistant to Assemblyman Greene; Administrative Assistant to Congressman John E. Moss; District Representative to Congressman Leo Ryan; Congressional Assistant to Congressman Jerome Waldie; Consultant for the Professional Engineers and Research; Consultant for California Engineering Foundation; Legislative Coordinator for The Office of Governmental Affairs; Legislative Coordinator Special Education Division; and a Special Education Consultant.

While Paul excelled at his work his most valued time was enjoyed with his family taking cross country trips, fishing and camping in The Dardanelles, collecting rocks, and taking walks with his honey Carole. He also dedicated time to service ministry activities at St. Charles Parish and within the diocesan community, Relevant Radio and an activist for pro life.

An irreplaceable husband, father, grandfather and friend, Paul will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 56 years Carole; Daughters Chantalle and Danielle; Sons David and Greg; Son In-Law Josh; and two special Granddaughters Elizabeth and Amelia.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Visitation and Rosary services January 16th from 4pm-7pm and a Funeral Celebration of his life on January 17th from 10:00am-11:30am at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, 7854 Center Parkway, in Sacramento.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Paul D. Hinkle to Sacramento Life Center, St. Vincent de Paul (St.Charles), and Weave.
