LEBEAU - A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Emma Zion Baptist Church, 517 East Vine Street, Washington, LA., for Paul Lavine, Sr., 95, who entered eternal rest, Monday, July 11, 2011 at Tri-Community Nursing Home in Palmetto, LA.
Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, LA. Rev. Joseph Jones will officiate at the services.
Mr. Lavine is survived by two sons, Paul Lavine, Jr. of Opelousas, LA. and Thomas Lavine (Theresa) of Concord, N. Carolina ; four daughters, Bonnie Hanchett (Henry) of Zachary, LA., Janie Savoy of Opelousas, LA., Betty Wyble (Anthony) of Iowa, LA. and Martha Guillory (Ronald) of Luling, LA.; a sister, Eloise Smith of Washington, LA.; 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and special friends.
Mr. Lavine was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Antee Young Lavine; his parents, Joseph Lavine & Lovenia Walker Lavine; a daughter, Mary Ann Lavine; a son-in-law, Charles Savoy; three brothers, Joseph, Peter and Willie Lavine; five sisters, Onesia, Ezola, Orelia and Mary Lavine.
Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Williams Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA.
