PAUL LEVESQUE SR. 1925 - 2017
PUTNAM – Paul Levesque, Sr., 92, of Thurber Rd., died Thursday, October 19, 2017 in Matulaitis Nursing Home. He was the loving husband of the late Theresa (Dufault) Levesque. Born in Fall River, MA, he was the son of the late Mitchell and Lumina (Breault) Levesque.
Mr. Levesque was a WWII United States Navy Veteran. He earned the WWII Victory Medal, American Area Medal, Asiatic pacific Medal, 10 Stars Philippine Liberation Medal, and 2 stars Navy Unit Commendation. He went on to work as a Union Carpenter, Local 24, for Peasley Construction. He was the past commander of Albert J. Breault VFW Post #1523 in Putnam, a member of the Thompson American Legion, and was a Communicant of St. Mary Church, where he attended daily Mass. In retirement, he worked as a professional dressman for Gilman & Valade Funeral Homes & Crematory.
Paul is survived by his son, Paul Levesque, Jr. and his wife Lea of Dayville; his sisters, Lorraine Menzone of Dudley, MA, and Viviane Murray of Woodstock; and his grandchildren, Matthew Levesque and his companion Theresa Wrenn, and Monique Braman and her husband Spencer; his great grandchildren, Christopher Frost, Cooper Levesque, Cameron Frost, Madeleine Frost, Sawyer Braman, and Stratton Braman. He is predeceased by his twin sister Pauline Lorange and his sister, Germain Mountford and his brothers Raymond and Normand Levesque.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Paul's family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 in St. Mary Church, 230 Providence St, Putnam, CT. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Paul's name to Project Northeast, 81 Church St., Putnam, CT 06260. I have clear memories of the Levesque brothers
from back in the AF Peaslee, Inc. days, when I learned solid work skills, good-natured ethics,
and lasting responsibility from the likes of Paul, Ray & Norm. May he rest in peace, I wish his family well.

Anyone having the chance to know pep is a better person for it.....always on top of his game weather it was making you laugh or telling stories of how it was in his day...a true gentleman in all respects of life....he will be greatly missed by so many.....so sorry for your loss Paul.....I spent more time with him growing up then my own grandfather my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family....I love you guys always
