Paul Marcoux

Benjamin Paul Marcoux, 91, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on February 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born July 3, 1933, in Vero Beach, Paul was the son of Margaret Snyder Marcoux and Vital Gilles Marcoux. A graduate of Haines City High School and Clemson University, Paul served in the US Army stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. As a dedicated civil engineer with the Florida Dept of Transportation, one of his greatest memories was working alongside his brother, Gilles Marcoux in establishing the coordinates for the Sunshine Skyway bridge. In addition to his public service, he was the owner of B & M Equipment Leasing. In his later years, he enjoyed fellowship in the men's bible study at FMCC. Paul's family was his greatest joy! He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jean, and their daughters: Paula & (Mahlan) Houghton, Patricia and (Dana) Burns, Sherrie and (Steve) Christoff, Laura (predeceased) and (Pat) Rahilly. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Brittani Houghton, Billy Houghton, Emilie Noens, Lauren Arrington, Evan Christoff, Gilleum Marcoux, Victoria Marcoux and their families, including eight great grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense happiness. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 11 AM at Fort Myers Community Church, with the family receiving friends at 10AM.
