Paul Schubitzke Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 20, 2025.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Wesley Schubitzke, who left us at the age of 48 to be with the Lord. Paul was born on January 23, 1976, in Denver, Colorado, to Kent Schubitzke and Kathryn (Kay) Lirette Schubitzke.

From a young age, Paul was known for his energy and athleticism, excelling in hockey and skateboarding. He developed a deep passion for emergency services and Flight for Life, often listening to his emergency scanners from childhood into adulthood.

With a sharp mind, Paul developed an interest in computers during his teenage years and went on to earn his Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification in his twenties.

He married his beloved wife, Alisha, in October of 1997, and together, they had a beautiful daughter, Emma Jo, in May of 2003. Paul's love for his wife and daughter was the center of his life.

In addition to his family, Paul enjoyed many outdoor activities, including biking, hiking, and recently, ice fishing with coworkers from the City of Lakewood. He also had a passion for cooking and photography.

Paul's crazy (in the best way), kindness, humor, and sensitivity were just some of the qualities that made him so loved by those around him. He was intelligent, witty, and a lifelong learner.

Paul was welcomed into Heaven's doors by his grandparents, Paul & Elizabeth Lirette, Paul Schubitzke, Wesley & Iris Wegen, and his nephew Kaden Willis. He is survived by his wife, Alisha, daughter, Emma Jo, and parents, Kent Schubitzke (Glenda) and Kay Williams (Steve), along with his sisters, Andrea (Andee) Willis (Eric) and Elizabeth Williams. Paul leaves behind several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who all loved him deeply.

While our relationship with Paul had its challenges over the years, it never diminished the immense love we had/have for him. His absence leaves a deep ache in our hearts, but we find comfort in the hope that we will one day reunite with him in Heaven, where he is free and more alive than ever before. Paul will live on in our hearts until that day comes

.

A celebration of his life will be held in the spring or summer, with details to come.

I love you Paul! You always made me proud
I was so happy when you were near.
You were a delight when we got to be togeather.
My heart is broken and I know I will see you with our precious Lord! Love your Mom forever and ever.

I love you buddy. You'll be greatly missed. You've left us way to early.
I pray you are resting in peace, in the arms of the Lord. I'll see you again soon Son.

I love and miss you brother! I'm so sad I didn't get to say goodbye but I know this is not the end and I will see you again. Until then, I carry you in my heart! I love you.
