Paul Sloane Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jul. 3 to Jul. 4, 2009.
SLOANE , Paul Clifford November 24, 1947 - June 30, 2009 Paul (born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario) is survived by his beloved wife Jeanne, his children Moe and Laun Saunders, Matt and Lisa Sloane (granddaughter Robin) and his stepchildren Kyle, Kevin (Allison) and Kjersta (Jeremy) Bynum. Paul's favorite times were spent with his friends at their themed parties, garage sales and Oscar Nights. Others would describe him as the best friend anyone could ever have. Family and Friends will miss his unique sense of humour and enjoyable pranks. These traits will live on in our memories and stories. Paul graduated from Queen's University in 1972 with a B. Eng. in Chemical Engineering. The staff at Engineered Air will always remember Paul's open-door policy and willingness to go above and beyond the roles of his job to lend a helping and caring hand. Jeanne and Family: I just found out about Paul and want to offer my deepest sympathy to you. I remember Bob the poodle and Paul play fighting over a toy and Paul's great sense of humor. May you be comforted by the wonderful memories you hold dear to your heart.

Cheers Paul: A couple of things we loved about the Paul who shared our lives in the "early" years are: He had the most incredible command of universal dialects known to man. He was the funniest ethnic impersonator off-stage! In addition, he mastered sound effects to accompany any story he told both in plain view of friends and family or in the hidden hallways of work and play. One of the most memorable "Paul-isms" we hold close to our hearts is the proof to his children Maureen & Matthew that Santa could make his way into any home with or without a fireplace - proof being footprints on the pillow slip found under the ceiling access to their attic on Christmas morning... Much love and many fond memories..

Dear Jeanne,

What a pleasure it was to get to know Paul, even a little bit. He made me laugh. And he was the best of friends to my brother Kip. I know Kip will miss him, almost as much as you will. We are truly blessed by the people come into our lives when we need them most. Paul was a gem among human beings.

I have added him name to my t-shirt for the walk, right beside the name that he wrote on the shirt - Grey Kampala. The two friends will be with me on that walk.
