Pauline B. “Cookie” Doshen Ott, 72, of Fairmont died Nov. 9, 2007 at her residence.Cookie was born in Fairmont on Oct. 17, 1935, the daughter of the late Joseph Doshen and Anna MeKenie Doshen Moore.Cookie was employed by Fairmont General Hospital from 1953 to 1956 as a licensed practical nurse. She also worked at the Palace Restaurant, Owens Illinois, Walnut Avenue Nursing Home, Woolworth, American Laundry, cooked for the city police officers, and the Soup Opera.She attended Fairmont State College, West Virginia Business College, Miller Jr. High School, and Fairmont Senior High. She also was a member of St. Mary's Orthodox Church in Westover.Cookie is survived by three aunts, Virginia Radish of Westover, Hilda Mayoros of Philadelphia, Pa. and Dorothy Taggart of California; an uncle, Michael MeKenie of Alexandria, Va.; and several cousins.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ott; and a brother, Joseph Doshen.Friends and family may call at Domico Funeral Home in Fairmont from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Very Rev. Fr. Mojmir Zalcik officiating. Burial will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Grafton.Online condolences may be made to domicofhinc @aol.com.

Pauline cooked for my dad Robert Barnes for quite a while before her health started to fail. She was very good to my dad and the Barnes family is sorry for your loss.
