Dear Hailes and Lund families,
I lived in Van Buren Ave
Across the street from Peggy for about 8 yrs. Before moving to Cedar City, Ut. Peggy came through town and called to see if we could get together about 35 yrs ago? I agreed to come meet her where she had stopped in Cedar City passing through. It was a
lovely gesture for her to make time to visit with me.
I hadn´t seen her since we were in our teens until then. I have fun and fond memories of Peggy, from
Getting fished out of 3 Dr of mud by Polly when my yard had just had a sewer
Line put in in front! I think she used a 2x4! We had fun sleep overs although I usually got homesick around 12 am and walked across the street and got into my own bed!! We spent hours out in the fields behind her home to bridle up a couple horses
to ride, those were the best of times exploring those fields behind their home. When her father , Jack was in a riding group
Called the Palomino Posse
The performed in parades
I believe, anyway Peggy and U would go with Jack
And watch them rehearse,
And wander around explore, and hang out with another kid or two.
I remember picking fresh
Peppers and eating them fresh from her grandma´s garden. I remember her redecorating her bedroom all in orange, at the time it was her favorite color! It was pretty jazzy! We had a-lot of fun riding bikes up and down our street practicing
riding with no hands. I would help her do dishes if it was needed before
Play . She had a garbage disposal in her sink and I had never seen or used one before. I thought it was scary but not Peggy
She used it with confidence which she always seemed to have.
Your wife, mother, daughter, sister was one of my best friends until she went to South High.
I was a year younger.
I loved her and always knew I would have fun
adventure playing with her and doing things with her family they were fun
People to spend time with!
