Peter Bonner Obituary

Published by The Concord Journal from Nov. 29 to Dec. 8, 2016.
Peter James Bonner, 81, of Acton, formerly of Concord, passed away suddenly on November 23, 2016. He is survived by his son Matthew Bonner, daughter-in-law Monique Bonner, and his grandsons Christopher CJ and Nicholas Linc Bonner of Cornwall, VT; his loving companion of 21 years Paula O'Sullivan; his stepchildren Chris Hill of Acton, Spencer Hill of Minneapolis MN, and Tim Hill of Stow; and by his brothers Alan Bonner and Paul Bonner. He also leaves former spouses Dorrie Kehoe of Concord and Edith Hill of Stow. Peter was a graduate of Middlebury College, beginning with the Class of 1958. He took three years off to serve in the Army, and completed his degree in 1960. Following college, he worked in the early computer industry, starting at Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard. After working with Honeywell and Simplex Time Recorder in Gardner, he moved to the field of real estate. From 1972 until his death, he worked with several local real estate corporations, beginning with Foster Flagg and concluding with Coldwell Banker in Acton. During his career he completed over 900 transactions. Peter enjoyed the excitement of real estate sales. He loved time with family, red wine, and grudgingly came to accept that he also loved some cats. A Commemoration will be held this Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 2PM, at the Eastern Yacht Club, 47 Foster St, Marblehead, MA 01945. Friends are invited to come and share memories of Peters life. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peter's memory to the Salvation Army at SalvationArmyUSA.org. Arrangements are under the care of Susan M. Dee and Charles W. Dee, Jr., Dee Funeral Home of Concord. To leave words of condolence to the family, please visit DeeFuneralHome.com.

I am extremely sorry for your loss! This is never easy to deal with! George seemed like a great man, but something that myself and others I know have found comfort in is some of the promises that god has given us! At Act 24:15 we are given the hope of a ressurection! What a beautiful hope that god has given us for the future!

Peter will be remembered as a kind hearted man who was always ready to make things better.
He helped me when I started out in RE at EA Hill, Century 21. He was one of those people who you thought , and hoped, would be around forever. I will always remember him. He made a difference in my life.
Please accept my sincere condolences.

Sorry to hear of Peter's passing. I lived next door to Peter in Concord. I used to babysit for him and his wife Dorrie. He was a great guy.

So saddened to hear of Peter's passing. I work as the property manager for Great Road Condos (where Peter lived and was a Trustee for the Condo Association). I personally will miss talking to him. I will miss his knowledge, experience, and mostly his great sense of humor. He had a way of adding humor to every issue. He will be very missed. My deepest condolences to his family.

So very sorry to hear of your loss. Peter will be remembered as a great person. Very kind. "Down to earth" as they used to say. The family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

My family and I were saddened to hear of Peter's death. Peter sold my wife and me our first home in Acton in 1977. He was a true gentleman and we appreciated his style and professionalism. In 1987 he helped us sell that house when we got a larger house in Boxborough to accommodate our growing family.
Years ago our kids nicknamed Newman's Own salad dressing "Mr. Peter salad dressing" because the picture of Paul Newman on the bottle looked like our realtor friend "Mr. Peter".

We send our condolences to family and friends who share our mutual loss.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. May it bring comfort in knowing that God cares and will remember our loved ones as promised in the Holy Writings at Hosea 13:14 From the hand of Sheol I shall redeem them from death I shall recover them. Where are your stings, O Death...compassion itself will be concealed from my eyes.
