Peter GUINDON Obituary
In hospital on Monday, December 28, 2015, Peter Guindon at the age of 51. Will be missed by his children Chelsea, Amanda, Katheryn and their mother Anne (McEvoy). Son of Pierrette and the late Lucien Guindon. Brother of Michael (Jennifer), Denis (Melanie), Iona and Mark (Sharon). Family and friends are invited to gather and share their memories at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St. (between Scrivens Dr. and Metcalfe corner) on Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. At Peter's request there will be no formal funeral service.

Many happy memories, with Peter, Jeff, Dean, Iona, the rest of the crowd, sharing food, spirits, rights of passage, etc....We all ended up at the Guindons family home, until the very wee hours of the next morning, it was always a fantastic time, loud music, and great people sharing the fun. Peter will be fondly remembered, by Mallory-ann, for always letting her crash in his bed, so the party could continue, past her 8pm bedtime, hee hee. The contagious laugh, while trying to fish, the fish hook in Mallory-ann's foot, the long night rides on the machines. Peter, we thank you, for always being the caring, giving, loving, understanding man you were,
may all your fun times, and terrific personality follow you thru, the gates of Heaven. I thank you for all you have been, truly a loved and fine friend. your girls, their Mom, your sister, and brothers, will be seeing you again some day, for now we light candles, and say prayers for them, Strength be with you all.

Rest Easy My "Reading Partner"!!
Dear Iona, Chelsea, Amanda, Katheryn, Anne, Mike, Denis and Mark, and all the family,
I am at a loss for words so, just know that I am thinking of you all with a broken heart that is filled with love for you all, especially Peter's girls (he told me many times how proud he was of you and loved you very much).
Iona, it will be hard to think of our childhood with one third now missing.
Peter, I will never forget at your Dad's funeral how you told Anne when she described my hair as now being about her colour, that you were shocked and your comment makes me smile even years later.

To Peter's immediate family and relatives, I was just notified about Peter's passing. Although, Peter & I lost touch a long time ago, both he and the Guindon family were a great influence on my early teen age years. Every time I'm back in Ottawa, and drive by the 'old' house on Pinewood Cres, I'm reminded of the many great memories I have from being a friend of Peter's. May his spirit continue to shine bright in our memories of him.
