Dear Gwilt Family,
I am indeed shocked by the news of Peter's passing. After I joined UNMC COP, we were office neighbors and I very much enjoy chatting with him. It was from one of such chat, we actually co-published a paper, together with Jasmine. Peter has a beautiful mind and a beautiful soul. I will always cherish our time working together and his kindness to others. May God bless your family and may Peter rest in peace.

My condolences to the family. Although I never met Dr. Gwilt, I began to admire his contributions and love of science after joining the UNMC. Many of my colleagues and former students have fond memory of him. May his soul find peace.

Dear Carol, my heart broke when I heard of Dr. Gwilt's passing. A mentor, a father figure, a great teacher, a beloved friend he was all of those to me. His kindness, his intellect, and his sense of humor touched and inspired the lives of many students, including mine. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. While I mourn the loss of a great man with you, I feel blessed and honored that he was a part of my life.

We have no fonder memories than ones of our family in the presence of the Gwilt family. Peter was a dear friend, a wise man, a challenging intellect, strong father, and man of God. Carol, our hearts are with you in this time of grief. May our Lord comfort you and keep you in the arms of His love. Our prayers are with you.
