Peter Wood Obituary
Peter was well loved by everyone that knew him; family, friends, and his co-workers. He is survived by his brothers; Norman E. Wood Jr. of Boston, Dwight F. Wood of Boston, Michael R. Wood of Hyannis, Steven B. Wood of Hyannis, and his loving sisters, Marie E. Askew-Lee of Everett, and his beloved late sister Patricia A. Wood-Lawrence of Boston. His mother, Theresa F. (Monteiro) Wood of South Dennis, his wife Kim Gomez of Yarmouth, and his children; Keith R. Wood, Kandice T. Wood, Khery N. Wood, Shaquan D. Robinson, Sean D. Robinson, and his grandchild Aleyah R. Wood. Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, sister and brother in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many friends. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home 160 W. Main St., Hyannis. Visitation wil be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service. Burial to follow in South Dennis Congregational Cemetery, South Dennis.

I was just reading through this again. I keep a picture of Pete on my Ipad. He loved you all so much, his beautiful children, his wonderful lady and the rest of his family. He spoke of his love for you all. Don't doubt for a moment that he knew your love for him, he knew. He was such a wonderful soul, he lives on through our memories. He is surely missed.

Pete, You were a great guy. You will be missed. I loved running into you and seeing your smile, big teddy bear hugs and just talking. Pete my Friend,
At times it takes years for a friendship to develop but I have known Pete for only 7 years. My first tour of Nantucket was on Pete's bus. He had us near tears when he expressed that there was no Kentucky Fried Chicken on Nantucket. When on security duty on the wharf, I was one of the first to greet Pete each morning, share his smile and wish him a good day. We'll all miss that smile. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Peter's Family.

I can still hear Peter's booming voice in song. Peter was a larger than life kind of guy when it came to his love for his family which included his many, many cousins. His love for us was so evident. When he saw us, he would open his arms wide and give a big ole bear hug like it was the last time he would see you. How could we have known that it was. I miss you my cousin. My heart goes out to all of our family.

To the Wood Family;
