My greatest sympathy on the loss of your mother. With the recent passing of my mother, Ellen Barnett Schmidt, I just discovered that Phebe and my mother were childhood friends having both been raised in Cambridge, MD.and that they always kept in touch over the decades right up until their recent deaths. I have various Christmas cards and such from Howard and Phebe to my mom. Curious coincidence I am Ellen's adopted son, she had two other sons that she gave birth to, and my actual birth name is David Blair. Any thoughts on the coincidence in last names?

Dear Anne and Family,
Having lost my own mother so recently I empathasize with your grief. Although I didn't know your mom, I am sure she was a terrific woman - after all I know the daughter she raised. I am praying that Jesus gives you His peace which passes all understanding in the midst of your sadness. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love, Ginny
