Philip "Joe" Zimmerman

Philip "Joe" Zimmerman, 50, of Milan, died Friday September 12, 2003, at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, ER.
Funeral Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan.
Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with a 7 p.m. Cambridge AF/AM Masonic Lodge 49 service. Burial will be in the Aledo Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his daughter’s College Education Fund.
He was born April 8, 1953, in Moline to Philip and Donna Dorothy Zimmerman.
Joe married Mary Redman on Dec. 23, 1988, in Preemption.
Mr. Zimmerman worked as a welder for IH Farmall Works, later joining the Teamsters Local 371.
He was a member of the Teamsters Local 371, Village Trustee of the Village of Oak Grove, Mason of the Masonic Lodge AF/AM 49 of Cambridge, Moline Scottish Rite Lodge, and managed Oak Grove Mobile Home Park with his wife.
Joe won the Community Caring Conference Award. He enjoyed his family, his car and liked Sprint Car Racing in Knoxville, Iowa. Joe enjoyed riding four-wheelers with his daughter and friends.
He liked talking on the CB Radio with his friends.
Mr. Zimmerman is survived by his wife; Mary, his mother; Donna Zimmerman of Aledo; four daughters and spouses, Ashley Zimmerman of Milan, Bobbie (Andy) Rosenbaum of Milan, Beverly Zimmerman of Milan, Paula (Mike) Munther of Morrison; a son and spouse, Jim (Natesa) Selman of Milan; a brother, Jay Zimmerman of Aledo; and sister and spouse, Jan (Don) Duncan of Milan; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and a nephew.
Joe is preceded in death by his father Philip Zimmerman.
Following the committal service at Aledo Cemetery the family would like to invite everyone to attend a luncheon at the Teamsters Hall Local 371 in Rock Island.
