HESS – Phoebe, 95, Johnstown, formerly of Westgate Drive, died Dec. 14, 2007. She was born Dec. 19, 1911, in St. Michael, the daughter of the late Fred and Ada (Wade) Michelbracher. Preceded in death by husband, William F. Hess, who died Oct. 1, 2003; three brothers; and five sisters. Survived by daughters, Karen, married to Don Ludwig, Baltimore, and Sharon, married to Tim Lentz, Johnstown. She is also survived by six grandchildren, William, married to Karen, and Douglas, Terry and Jennifer Ludwig and Amy Lentz and Tim Lentz, married to Deborah; also two great-grandchildren, Adam and Andrew Santichen. She was formerly employed by Penn Traffic Co. Friends received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd., where funeral service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at 11:30 a.m., the Rev. Dennis Zimmerman officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
