Phonsavanh "Ponce" Sourignavong, 40, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017. He was born on Dec. 1, 1976 in Vientiane, Laos and relocated to the U.S. in 1980 with his parents and sister. Ponce graduated from ITT Technical Institute and held a career in information technology. Ponce is survived by his daughter, Destynee, and his dog, Chong along with his mother (Bounthone), father (Koth), an older sister (Chance), two younger brothers (John and Sam), loving nieces (Jasmine, Jaden, and Violet) , nephew (Calvin), and the rest of his family and friends. Ponce enjoyed softball, fishing, hunting, and technology. What he pride the most out of his life was his daughter, who he cared and loved for deeply. We will miss his unmatched energy, love, and his relentless sense of humor. Ponce will be cremated in a private ceremony on March 8, 2017. A memorial will be held on Saturday, March 4th 2017 at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd., San Antonio, with viewing service from 11:00 AM – 12:45 PM followed by the funeral service from 1:00 PM -4:00 PM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ponce's life.

I had the opportunity to work with Ponce. He was a kind and gentle man. We spoke often of Des and how his world revolved around her care and comfort. Ponce was quick to laugh and smile, thoughtful of others.
May the Lord give you respite in this time of your loss.
