News Death Notice

HUTCHINS, Phyllis M. age 81, of Kings Mills, Ohio, passed away at her home, February 22, 2014. She was born on March 6, 1932 in Fremont, Indiana, the daughter of Clellie and Gladys (Everetts) Smart, they preceded her in death. She married Robert C.L. Hutchins, on October 7, 1950, and he preceded her in death on December 7, 1996. Survivors include, four children, Douglas (Jackie) Hutchins, Cincinnati, Ohio, Erric Hutchins, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Deborah Hille, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Michelle (Don) Lipka of Mason, Ohio, eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, four sisters, Patsy Michael of Fremont, Indiana, Dorothy and Charles Hays of Shreveport, Louisiana, Nancy Wilcox of Angola, Indiana, Sharon and Rodney Wells of Angola, Indiana, two brothers, Clellie and Tootsie Smart of Washington, NC, and David Smart of Angola, Indiana. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C.L. Hutchins, her parents, one brother, Larry Smart, and two brother-in-laws, Philip Michael, Paul Wilcox. Visitation will be held from Noon until 2 pm Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. The funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 pm Tuesday, February 25, 2014, also at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana, with Rev. Darin C. Hendrey of the Fremont United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana. Memorials are requested to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, or to the donor's favorite charity.
