I think about you often still. The times up at the cabin.. we were making videos and listen to music for days. Road the four wheelers in the rain, you pulled your hood so tight there was only a little hole for you to see!! I was just telling someone the other day about the first time we met in school, we had lockers right next to each other. You finally said hi one day and were inseparable for years to come! We did everything together! My first real boyfriend was someone you met in the McDonalds drive through hahaha! We saw them up the road at a stop light, and you started screaming out the window and we followed them home hahaha we were nuts!! You were and still are one of my most favorite people! Your personality is unlike any other I've met still to date!! And that smile!!! Late night Turkey sandwiches which were made to perfection ONLY when you made them!!! Man, I miss you! I love you so much Rachel. I hope your happy up there...

Were coming up on a year already Rach, you are on my mind more then ever tonight. I miss you so much. I keep waiting for that smack on the arm followed by "dude guess what" as you giggle and continue on with your story and huge grin on your face!! You were always so happy and excited even when we had nothing to be excited for :) so positive all the time. You were the best person to be around, i loved picking you up after a bad day, You always had me laughing. I still cant get a grip of the fact that i will never see you again, never hear your laugh or voice. Never see your smile. and never pick up the phone to dial your number. This is so surreal to me still. I feel like you just away for a while. As these holidays pass us by without you hear this coming new year i will think of you and smile, knowing your smiling back. Matt (my boy) came up there to meet you this past June, i hope you guys are getting along well, hes a goofball just like you are! u would have loved him! Tell him i love him too :). I miss you Rachy, SO much more then you will ever know. I love you...

Dear Dianne, Tony, Michelle, Danielle and Jack,
My heart goes out to you all for your strength and understanding of the ways of this crazy world...It has its way of being devastating and sometimes ruthless..But there is always a reason behind every action...it pains me to say that but I beleive it to be true. Rachel was staggering, and her heart and soul more beautiful than a budding spring flower.I knew her infrequently several years ago(she was a very close friend of my cousin Casey), but the times that I did spend with her were inspired and alight with her 60 watt smile and sweet, shallow voice. Please know that this was an undeniable and shelfish act of God...he must have needed her for something great, and that gives me solace and peace..she was a wonder and I will miss her dearly, for all days to come, all of my love... <3

O'Brien Family,
You don't know me but my oldest daughter Ashley was friends with Michelle when they were younger and my daughter Katie knew Rachel and had visited with her during her Christmas break this past December. I remember seeing you in church at St. Johns' with the girls. My heartfelt sympathy to you. I can't imagine what you are going through. May the strength of those who care help your pain and give you strength in the weeks ahead.

Rachels family & loved ones,
I'm very sorry for your loss.Rachel was an amazing girl. I remember all of our old times in middle school like they were yesterday. And although i hadnt seen rachel in a while i was sooo excited when i heard she was pregnant when i was... and really wanted to get in touch with her. Even not talking to rachel for a long time i often thought of her and her new family. I will always rememeber her for her huge smile and contagious energy! She was really an amazing person and will be truly missed. My heart goes out to you all .. be strong.

I worked with Rachel for a couple years at McDonalds.. I enjoyed every time we worked together.. Her smile, and her funny sence of humor. I didnt see Rachel for a couple years until I saw her this last summer at the SLICE OF SHORVIEW, and I dont think I have ever seen such a HAPPY Rachel in my life. She had her new baby with her, her boyfriend and she looked so nice, and you could tell she loved being a MOM! I miss you my dear Rachel.. I know your in heaven, and I know you are in a better place. Say HI to my Baby Girl if you see her! :)

We were saddened to hear of your loss. We will not only keep Rachel in our thoughts and prayers but will include the entire O'Brian Family as well. Rachel was taken from you at such a young age
but do not judge a song by its duration Nor by the number of its notes
Judge it by the richness of its contents
Sometimes those unfinished are among the most poignant…
Do not judge a song by its duration
Nor by the number of its notes
Judge it by the way it touches and lifts the soul
Sometimes those unfinished are among the most beautiful…
And when something has enriched your life
And when it’s melody lingers on in your heart.
Is it unfinished?
Or is it endless?

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. Rachel will be greatly missed every day. <3
God looked around His garden
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered "Peace be thine".
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

To the beautiful O'Brien family:
Let me start by saying how much I love you. I have known you guys my whole life and growing up with you all has left me with so many wonderful memories. You all are constantly in my thoughts and if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. I know it is odd to say, but through all of this last weeks experiences, my faith has strengthened. I have prayed everyday and felt God's love more than I can ever really recall. I know He exists and He sends love to you all. Rachel is waiting, and will greet us with that big smile and warm laugh. Until that day, we are fortunate enough to see some of her through Devyn. Remember her love and allow her spirit to guide you always.
All my love,

Diane, Michelle, Dani & Jack, You are in our prayers during this time. Life is such an interesting journey & many times hard to understand. May you find strength knowing she is resting in peace with our maker. She was such a beautiful person & loved by many. We will continue to focus on the gift she left all of us, her son Devyn. He is fortunate to be surrounded by such an incredible family. Reach out & remember you are never alone, as others are here to lift up each one of your hearts.
