Dear Safdie family,
I am saddened to have learned of your mother's passing. With this loss is the passing of an era of Continental elegant, committed and beautiful women. I had the total pleasure of spending time with Rachel and my mother-in-law, Mandy, for many years. Rachel came to my eldest daughter's wedding in Boston, a tribute to her friendship with Mandy. Of course, I remember well my wonderful friendship with Gabe and Sylvia, oh so many years ago. Rachel always kept me informed about all the children and grandchildren.I send my heartfelt condolence and warm regards.

The last time I got to see Mrs. Safdie was at the company Christmas party. I was pregnant and decided to have an apple juice in a wine glass. Mrs. Safdie gave it a funny look and asked if it was scotch. I explained that it was only juice, and she said "that's a good idea. I'm on antibiotics and I'll have one of those too". When I found out about Mrs. Safdie's passing, I went to the fridge and made myself a glass of apple juice in a crystal wine glass. I toasted the sky. Rest In Peace Mrs. Safdie. Everyone in my family is thinking about all of you during this difficult time. Everyone at work is shocked and saddened by this loss. The last time I saw her she was dancing with her daughters Sylvia and Lillian. It's a nice way to remember someone very special.

You have my sincere condolences on the loss of your mother; my thoughts are with you and your family. Hold tight to memories for comfort, and may your memories give you strength. I am thinking of you during this difficult time. May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead. I will always have my fond memories of my honey bee! Especially sharing lunch with her at Costco. Rest is peace Rachel. I am happy that you went peacefully!

To the family of the late Mrs.Safdie...My name is Ida Schwartz and I just received a message on my answering machine, when I got home today that your mom passed away...I am in shock and will never forget her, as she was always a mom to me...I want to express my deepest symphathy to all of you...I would love to attend her funeral but unfortunately, I am married now and living in the state of New Hampshire...I really hope that you will not have any more sorrow...I always remembered your dad and mom was there for me during the time that I was working for Safdie Co. Ltd...My thoughts are all with you now...
