Rachel Sandoval, age 50, of Paramount, CA, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013 at her home in Paramount, CA, after a long battle with cancer. She was born on August 10, 1963 in South Gate, CA to her parents, Epitacio and Margarita Amaro. Rachel thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors and took many camping trips with her family. She had a love for music, movie classics, and cooking. She attended Carson High School and graduated in 1981. She went on to study at Harbor Community College for 2 years, and was employed at Torrance Memorial Medical Center as a medical biller for 26 years. She volunteered in the confirmation ministry at St. Bernard Church in Bellflower, ministering to parents and chaperoning at youth retreats. On June 8, 1985 Rachel married the love of her life Mr. George Sandoval in Carson, CA. Rachel will be remembered by her loving husband, George and their four children: Evangeline, George Jr., Meghan, and Rebecca. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing for Rachel at 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 27 at All Souls Mortuary in Long Beach, CA followed by a Rosary at 6:00 PM. A mass for Rachel will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, October 28 at St. Philomena Church in Carson, CA. Rachel is survived by her parents, her two sisters, Sonia and Diana, her husband George, and her four children. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
