My sincere condolences to the family. A friend had shared Rachels story of her beloved Comet with me two years ago. And today, after a little search online, I discovered she bought her Caliente from my fathers dealership in Sanford, Florida...Hunt Lincoln Mercury. Her story delighted and inspired me, and today it has taken on a new connection and a new reason to remember her.

I am so saddened to hear about the death of my friend and fellow Comet owner, Rachel. I was president of Comet East Car Club when we were honored to meet her a few years ago in Carlisle, Pa. She was being honored by the show organizers but took time out of her schedule to come to the Comet area and meet everyone. I spoke with her many times on the phone over the years. I will miss her greatly.

If they ever do a remake of the TV series "My Mother The Car", a whole lot of people will be thinking of Rachel ...as she loved her car. Hope you were able to hitch your tail to a Comet and enjoy the ride on the way to heaven Rachel!

I worked w/ Rachel in the Open Heart Unit at Florida Hospital Orlando many years ago. What a wonderful person, nurse, and mentor she was to everyone who had the privilege to know her. I'm sure she is a great addition to heaven and that all around her are enjoying her wonderful personality and sense of humor. If only she could have had taken her car with her, imagine what it would be like in heaven!
